Where are street gangs going to roleplay at? As far as I know, there are no poor neighborhoods in San Fierro.
Street gangs

Bayside is an analogue to Oakland and that has a crazy gang culture. Just because it's more urban in San Fierro doesn't mean you can't start making a story about Nortenos in Rancho. I'd like to see a majority of Nortenos and a wide variety of gangs, there's a big potential to explore new opportunities outside of the typical South Central stuff.
Yeah most of it ain't really ghetto but I know most faction are role playing in Calton Heights, Juniper Hallow, Ocean Flats and Garcia.
I'm quite certain that there's some mapping in the works to enhance the ghetto-gritty feel of particular neighbourhoods such as the areas listed above by Shiro.
Even without the mapping, a lot of it would still work I'm sure.
An area doesn't have to be completely dilapidated and torn apart to house a street gang, gangs are literally everywhere and anywhere.
I'd like to see people stem away from typical South Central role-play and establish a unique gang culture that attempts to accurately portray gang life in the bay area irl.

Exactly. Nortenos are nothing like Surenos, and San Francisco also has a very vibrant Asian gang culture.
San Fierro Rifa Boyz 13
There's a lower class in every city, so there will always be crime & street gangs somewhere.

Bayside is a high/upper-class neighborhood similar to Sausalito area, Oakland isn't really represented (with the exception of the Garver Bridge being the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge. It's definitely possible to map over Bayside in the server but afaik that hasn't been done.
Gangs don't just spring up in poor neighborhoods.
Orange County California is home to some of the most violent Skinhead gangs in the country, and it's a very well off area economically.
Just let the server open and let people develop a mentality and idea of what to open. People will have an idea eventually of what to do in SF. That's pretty much the 'art of role-play and improvising.'
I think my faction is a very good example of what street gangs can be in San Fierro. And to be honest, the population of street gangs right now is nice. The areas that are being chosen are interesting and it will only lead to interesting roleplay scenarios.

Oakland doesn't really have a gang culture, they got hoods bloods and crips are a LA thing but Oakland has sections not really gangs it's about where you live at and you just run with your group not really gangbanging how LA does it.
Gangbangin doesn't have nothing to do with ghettos alot of suburbs have gangs as well they might not be as hard as city gangs but still there. I'm roleplaying Rollin 30s Crips but it's not so much as the area I'm worried about it's more of the realistic crip RP that I'm more into than what is around.
u act like a neighbourhood needs to be poor to have gangs lol
Custom mapping to help certain areas have a more “ghetto” atmosphere should fix the problem. As long as people are more worried about realisticly portraying the gang they’re roleplaying i’d say we’d be alright.

if its not scripted roleplay it aint good roleplay!!!!!!!!!!!!!
^ Passive RP is way better.
More Nortenos/Boarder Brothers and other northern gangs.
It doesnt have to look like a iraq war zone for street gangs to be in it
