Just joined, saw Bay-area all over ls-rp youtubers comment section mostly the ones that quit and mass dm'ed because that server is dying and obviously it's shit.
Just wanted to see you guys thoughts on this server future. Hopefully the admins won't turn into ls-rp admins and people would rp like that used to on ls-rp, just a all-around server, with funness everyone is serious about their rp but not that serious and can tone down and have fun laugh, that's what i like doing the most is laughing with friends and chillin, rping etc.

The server is yet to open, and so is not publicly playable at this time. Though for future reference, the server connection IP and port is ba-rp.net:7777.
Do take account of the fact that it has been mentioned time and time again that this server is not comparable to LS-RP, and should not be taken as such. The administration here are not keen on those who lambaste LS-RP, or any other SAMP server for that matter, whether via forums or on the discord.

The beta phase maxed out the player count whilst the forums has over 1,000 registered users. We all share that same sorta idea to have a new beginning on a new server, so the attitude of everybody right now is great. The community's super nice, chill and welcoming.

Given that there are already 1000+ registered users and the server hasn't been opened yet speaks a lot. BARP has massive community support, a reliable staff team and there is no doubt this server is gonna dominate the SAMP roleplay scene (if everything runs smoothly ofc).
Nobody can predict the future of the server, nobody can predict what's going to happen tomorrow. At the moment, the server is heading in the right direction. That's due to a stable leadership, staff team and community. Like a wise person said, once one door closes, another one opens. That's exactly what has happened to a lot of players who have joined. We have staff members who care about the community and BA:RP. Not thier ego. Everything that is done is to beneift BA:RP and that is what I like about the current leadership and staff team.
The higher you set your expectations, the more it’ll hurt when you fall. The less you expect the community to be perfect, the less you can be disappointed. Hype can ruin a project as much as it can help it. No reason to treat this as the second coming or like a replacement for something big, especially when it hasn’t opened yet. Just let the devs do their thing and get it running, then you can play and hopefully enjoy the server.
It's best to not get affected by anything that happens to your character, or your OOC stands in a faction. If everyone follows this, it should be an enjoyable experience on the server.
Also, we should all start off fresh on this server and be friendlywith eachother. This is the most important thing in my opinion. It doesn't matter which rank you hold, don't feed your ego, there's no power on a SAMP server. We are all here to play and enjoy the game.
I would say personally that the way the server is going, we're bound to head towards amazing ground! I see great things for this server, if we all put our minds to it, it'll become amazing!
As long as it doesn't turn into a cops and robbers server, BARP could go a long way. It sits on the perfect foundations: great hype, active community, amazing developers, good staff.
The future is good. No one can really claim victory by the player base activity in the very first days of the opening. The forum activity is amazing and that's always perfect, but it's always better to be resilient for whatever can be the worst.
As Simeon said, hype can ruin a project as much as it can help it. The hype is what makes a game have so many expectations by its community and it can often fail. It's great to be positive and it's very obvious to say so, but being overly positive can hurt more than it can heal.
So far the general discussion threads haven't been toxic, that's a big plus to me. Everyone seems to be in an agreeable and courteous mood, hopefully we see that when the server starts up.

Server has the most positive community & and from all the admin announcements and all the activity I see overall BA-RP will be one of the best server in SAMP history.
It looks bright as previously mentioned. The people I re-met here are good people who could RP and keep things IC. I'm yet to see a toxic person in this community and I'm sure if there's any, he'll be washed out quickly. Plus everyone(Including the Administration and Helping Team) seems friendly and interactive.
