A question I brought up on discord is where players might consider their social hub. Someone brought up the train tracks in Doherty or Ocean Flats. Where do you all think will be a social hub for players to hang around?

i know someone is going to post "we dont want that mentality on ba-rp" but like it or not itll happen.
My bet is on doherety as its imo the most recognisable location in SF
Or possibly even wheel arch angels since you know... Elegys will probably get a bad rap again.

I understand why people don't want social hubs, it does get a bad rap for DM, trolling, cringy roleplay. Regardless, like you said, it is gonna happen and we can't stop it, so why don't we try to improve it? Every server has a social hub or area where the majority of players may go to show off their cars and communicate with each other. I think social hubs get a bad rap because it's harder to maintain because it's multiple players in one area and the amount of shit that goes on in one specific area can be a hassle to keep track of for an admin to administrate punishments towards disobedient players.

Personally, I do think social hubs are cool for civilian roleplayers and people who just wanna chill out.
The problem of them is that the people who chill there alot dont tend to develop their characters or roleplay properly which then in turn makes the area a congregation of those types of people - ultimately giving them a badrap.
When a social hub does begin to gain traction, I hope the civilians who rp there wont be so strange
my house
I must agree on with @lordt. Social hubs are indeed cool for civilian roleplayers and people who just want to chill out - but the server has just opened, let people find their destiny on BA:RP, do not force them to stay at a specific spot. Whoever wants to roleplay, will eventually have to create roleplay. And people who create roleplay, are usually factions, and factions don't waste time at social hubs, they roleplay and develop. So, I got to a conclusion. If you get a social hub that almost half of the playerbase goes to, factions will get bored from roleplaying by themselves. However, if you let people discover the map on their own, perhaps they will find roleplay and help in giving a good atmosphere to those around them. I'm not saying no to a social hub, but I think now's not the right time.
This maps look like a nice place for social hub

Server hasn't even opened, so we'll have to see. You can't force fun on someone, fun has to authentic.
Only time will tell. Where players will feel the most comfortable to hang out will be the ultimate destination for the ''social hub''.

When you picture social hubs, you picture places where it makes sense to have a social gathering, restaurants, parks, bars, etu. But for some reason, parking lots seem to be the places to fuck around in, like why the fuck do people hang out in Idlewood Pizza stacks parking space, why not go inside or at least sit outside in front where all the tables are at. Same with the mall, why the fuck hangout in the parking space? Why not go inside the mall. Idk, people are weird.
Ocean Flats is probably going to end up being so populated that everyone is drawn to it. I think letting things develop naturally is the best bet, but if there's one central location like the mall people will definitely be drawn to it.
I would love to see people hang out near the baseball field! But, San Fierro is small, I am sure there's going to be more than one spot.
Base ball field probably
