About custom models 0.3.8

A question just popped up in my mind that as SA-MP 0.3.8 allows us to import custom models into server so, is it only about skins or we can add models of cars and stuff too?

Only custom skins and objects.

Cars etc are not supported yet, maybe in future versions.

Got into a conversation about this with my friend recently. It'd be amazing to see brand new car models and textures being added, it'd open so much space for new RP around teh city and would also greatly aid in making a more realistic economy. We also got onto the topic of guns and how there could be different models and textures for a Desert Eagle but instead as a rusty old revolver that does less damage, or a Makarov instead of a colt, with different amounts of ammo in each mag and different characteristics that come with those. Also imagine if weapons could jam, for example buying an AK-47, with two magazines (30 bullets each), yet when you go to shoot it, it keeps jamming up since you bought it for a very small price. This would open up so many roleplay opportunities especially for gangs. But we'll have to wait and see I guess.

Yeahh hopefully in a year or two we'll get this feature....

Let's hope that the SAMP developers are actually interested in doing this, they're making a lot of money from hosting servers alone, hopefully they will attempt to do something like this.

Yeaahh, they gotta do something which will boost the game back up and it'll be high as CSGO and other games, result = player peaks 18 out of 24 hours

Honestly new gun models and such would bring a new breath of life into SA-MP.

Maybe sometime in the future; it'll be great no doubt.
