Will there be a social media for BARP where characters can chat, advertise businesses/companies and just interact?
If this is used right, I would love to see it here.

There are no plans for us to create any external social media platforms yet. Mind you, we are a new server, so it makes perfect sense -- such extras would cost a hell lot of time and resources, especially in the long run. Remember, someone has to manage and moderate such a project, and that is a big investment. Plus, since we're just starting out, it wouldn't be wise to divert activity away from in-game and the main site.
Obviously though, having a social media of some sort where characters can interact is important to the roleplay of many, which is why I decided to make Hood Talk before a couple of weeks, it's basically a thread in the World Wide Web section of this forum where characters with poor financial backgrounds can chat. For the time being, I highly suggest anyone who is interested in roleplaying around social media to either use Hood Talk, or to create their own separate communication portal with its own forum thread -- doing anything other than that would probably be a little too burdensome for the community, honestly, at least at this stage of server development. Maybe give it a couple of months after launch, then we'll see how things go.
I think there’s no need for social medias just yet.
We can have this in the future, but not now.
Not planned by the staff (and not a priority at all) but they're not opposed to a random member developing one for the community the same way that Tracebook came to life on LS-RP afaik. Would be nice to see it happen as an IC social media is very useful to boost civilian roleplay.
It'd be tight if someone ran their own shit and devs allowed it or something idk.

The best option personally would be a twitter clone.
Nope.
It'd be a fun idea but something to consider at least a year down the line.
Would be cool to see this later on.
