By "taking over" you most likely mean what factions will be blasting their activity and having the best looks for the FM in the beginning of the server. I personally think that Mongols are worth the current "most promising" faction along with the Crip faction, but I do see Ocean Flats Nortenos XIV could go long way because they seem to take it seriously. The Nazzaro Crew obviously because they have a big group of people who have experience in the Italian Mafia roleplay and I've witnessed it with my own eye, same with Mancini Crime Family, I think these two would dominate the Italian Community roleplay by far. The last faction worth mentioning is Atturaya-Urshan gang, it looks amazing and most likely will go far.
Their is more than one crip faction though, you have to put a name on the crip factions since its like 3 of them.
I don't feel it will be a faction that takes over but I feel every area will have a dominate faction within their area, I like the realistic factions that follow the real life gang culture that they are roleplaying knowing how to diss different gangs knowing the slang of the gang etc. I'm in Rollin 30s Harlem Crips, I can think outside the box I know the faction I'm in is going to have a dominates in the area we picked to RP in and the roleplay will be there but I think a take over faction is unrealistic because most factions stay within their areas so if any faction is going to take over it's PD they run everything.
I think it's going to be interesting to see who becomes the first power-house on the server. But being a power-house or taking over the server doesn't mean you need to have some kind of ruthless reputation for being s1ck a1m3rs and 1337 shooters. There are other ways of gaining power in role-play and I hope those are used more than shooting. Personally I wanna detach from that shooting mindset, SF is a small town and you're not going to be able to get away with a lot of shit like you might be able to in Los Santos, police are gonna be on your ass. It's just a different environment, there's not as much room for criminals to breathe, so you people out there who consider yourselves to be smart criminals are more than likely going to be tested with the strenuous pressure the PD can apply and the distance they can cover relative to time.
I think the first faction that is going to 'take over' is whatever faction has a leadership which is cognizant of the environment San Fierro brings, shoot outs are going to drop drastically, probably more than anyone here's ever witnessed. Gangs, mafia's, syndicates, clubs, thugs, etc etc are going to have to use brain over brawn to get to the top. Real power is out there for criminals to grab but if you think you can get that by shooting better or outnumbering a rival faction you're in for a surprise. You're gonna have to use your brain way more than your aim!
I like what I'm reading about brain over muscle, for sure, that's how it works in the real world as well and it's the best way. Anyhow, I think that it's going to be either PD or the best illegal faction that is going to set the standards of the server if anything. Historically, it's been PD due to its' very complex recruitment process and the strict rules that it imposes. People in PD have a lot to lose, since it's closely watched, any mistake you make can affect you in the faction, so members are gonna be careful.

Nobody is gonna "take over", what? I swear some of you people need to start thinking of roleplay as more than DM videos with xxxtentacion yelling in the background.
Edit: I swear, this thread is just as retarded as the one "which neighborhood you gonna roleplay in?", the premise is not, but it's just fucking people cockmatching like they're twelve and saying what guns they are gonna use to DM each other, which is so fucking retarded. I mean, whatever the fuck happened to roleplay? If this is just gonna be another instance of LS-RP where people are just constantly looking for reasons to pull guns, I'm not even gonna show the fuck up. For real. This whole attitude fucks me up and needs to be left way the fuck behind.
Dang someone hurt lmfaoo If you don't like it why comment? why not ignore it?
Because I won't like the little time I'll most likely spend on roleplay writing up player reports and dealing with people who belong more on a DM server than they do here.

You do have a point. Some of you don't even seem to care about roleplay at all.
Frankly, how much "turf" a faction holds, how many wars it wins, and how many guns it has stockpiled don't mean anything in the grand scheme of things. In terms of "taking over", you might mean memorable. Factions with a very high quality will be memorable. Neither of those three variables equate to quality here, so the best measure for "taking over" is just how good the roleplay is and how fun it is to interact with them. I'm certain nobody is going to bother to remember a faction that engages in shootouts every day. Maybe if you're infamous enough, but that's not something great to be remembered by. It's just a black mark on your name whenever you mention you were in that faction.
