I'm with Virgin Media and I was having all sorts of problems. Turned out I had their 'SuperHub 1' and they sent me their latest 'SuperHub 3' and it did a world of good. I've got a CAT6 cable on standby for times with low signal too. I'm ages away from my router which is the problem but I got 30 metres of CAT6 off ebay for about 8 bullet.
for a wireless connection it gets the job done.
Pretty meh. I should be getting a guaranteed 62Mb/s down - so I should probably ring em :)

I could get bigger results, but my network card doesn't handle them. I think it can only push to 100mbps
