The only reason I tend to play is just because my friends ask me. The game's still enjoyable if you play with your friends tbh.
Though i see where you come from, the blue essence update was just bloody horrible imo, I really wish they hadn't done that. As for the emoji's, I don't mind them to much, it's better than "/all ?" spam.
