UCP development

Updated the main post with a new video showing off the latest design and features of the UCP.

Please note that many features shown are still unfinished and many features that I want to add still are not in the UCP. This is merely to showoff the design and get feedback etc.

We have changed the design slightly and would love to hear your feedback so that we can make sure that it is the best it can be!

Only thing I see that's a little off from the Character Creation section is selecting an age where it states you can only select an age between 18-20. I understand this is not the final product, but I think it's worth noting that players will likely create characters under the age of 18.

That's really awesome. Only thing I'd like to see gone is the race section about skins as that will cause confusion. Like wanting to use skin 23 and having trouble to find it between the hispanic section, the asian section or even the white section. I say remove that completely and let us insert skin IDs instead.

Already falling in love with the server and I have 0 minutes played.

Not sure if anyone already commented about this, but I think that choosing whether you're Asian shouldn't limit you to Asian skins. In my opinion a lot of skins can be usable for Asians that aren't neccesseraly meant for them. I think it would be better if choosing what race you are shouldn't limit you to the skins that belong to that race, you should be able to pick any skin you want, same with the age, why are you limited to 18+? I'm aware that the UCP character's details probably won't matter much but still you should have more options in case the UCP is actually connected to your IG character. Overall the UCP looks good.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to update you on the status of the UCP development

Firstly, I've come to the decision that I want to rework the UCP completely from scratch. This is something that has been brewing in the back of my mind for a few weeks now but here are the reasons that I've decided it's the right thing to do:

• We're now utilizing a modern PHP framework which means better security, performance and features for the UCP
• Development on the current UCP (due to the way it was designed & developed) has become cumbersome and time consuming for even the smallest of features
• I want to rework the design from scratch. Although I've had many compliments regarding the design of the UCP that was in development (thank you all by the way!) I just feel that it isn't working and isn't up to the standard that I feel it should be

Although this now means the UCP may take even longer to be released I feel that it would be unfair for us to release something that we did not feel was up to the standards that we expect from a server. The decision was not taken lightly and I hope that the new framework being used means development will take less time than it would have done if we had persisted with the old UCP.

One more thing before I end this post, with the new design we really want the UCP to be something special in both functionality and design. That is why I am reaching out to the community to see if anybody feels they have the skills to be the official web designer for the User Control Panel then please PM me with some of your previous work or just a design that you have created.

Here is what I am looking for:

• We are NOT looking for developers, just web designers 
• You do not need to know how to develop websites but some understanding would help
• Previous work/Portfolio is required 
• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/XD is preferred 
• Understanding of what we are developing (i.e. not just designing a website, designing a control panel with UX in mind)
• All work (as with all developers) will be voluntary and you will not be paid for your work

If you feel you fit this skill-set then feel free to PM me either on the forums or discord with evidence of previous work and we'll see where it goes!

Thank you everybody for reading and thank you all for your support, I should have more time on my hands over the next month or so which means I'll be able to dedicate a lot more time than I have currently been able to invest in development!

Edit: I've seen some people making the assumption that this means the server won't be released for even longer - I just want to clear things up now that the UCP development is independent of the server release. The server will almost more then likely release with a UCP of some form alongside it, however features of the UCP may be missing from the first release. When the gamemode developers are ready to release the server they will do, they will not be waiting for the UCP to be finished also.
