I'm slightly confused, but if I'm not mistaken: the sever will undergo a public beta testing period before its official opening. What are we supposed to do, exactly? Roleplay or mess around with the commands available? If there is indeed roleplay involved, will whatever we've done on the public beta be saved for the real server?
Beta Testing — What's Next?
Started by cBull,
From my understanding were going on the server to test it out make sure there aren't any bugs and that the server is running correct. I don't think the stats will be saved either.
It'll just be a standard testing phase, as Damian pointed out, they ran into more technicalities than they could have expected. So they'll be holding a public beta testing to give the community a feel for the script, but also so they're able to help the development team with finding and removing bugs.
We'll be there to test any features that are currently in the script, to find bugs and test scenarios in which bugs could appear - if you find a bug you're to screenshot it/get evidence of it. Make sure you can reproduce it and then make a bug report.
As it's a public opening I assume we'll have regular player access to the commands, and the administration team will be bug-testing the administration commands.
I don't see any roleplay being involved seeing as this is a beta-testing period, and also I do not think anything will be saved for the release.
Everything should be fixed by tonight AFAIK.
next is alpha testing
From what I heard, there is going to be another phase happening soon. During that phase, only helpers will be aloud to help test (not normal players). That is the reason they opened helper applications.
