NOTE: This goes hand-in-hand with another suggestion regarding the Winter Season which can be found here :
While I strongly agree with the suggestion above, I believe the /THAT/ roleplay shouldn't be only limited to the winter season. I believe the different types of weather should be roleplayed accordingly accompanied with a set of unique RP rules. This should be like a type of an event, that happens from time to time. Maybe its a prolonged period of dangerous mist and fog, with exceptionally low visibility. Perhaps heavy thunderstorms, with danger of flash floods? Maybe a deadly heatwave during the summer months? Or how about a cold wave during winter with temperatures dipping below freezing? There are many possibilities.
This will allow bigger immersion, more realism, unique roleplay opportunities for the many factions! For example during the most extreme situations, the government can set up shelter for the homeless and issue warnings. The News Network will have plenty of opportunities for roleplay as well, like broadcasting about the incoming "danger" or updates as it happens. The Department of Utilities or whatever its called can be utilized after the events to clean up the roads, fix broken lamp posts, fallen trees. If we were to roleplay a flooding, the Coast Guard can be mobilized to help the citizens, and as I said many other possibilities. General feedback regarding this suggestion are highly appreciated.
