Public transport

Everyone here probably realises, that the starts on the server are gonna be rough. Not only during the launch, but also for every new player - people stranded in a big city, whose only reliable mean of transportation are their feet. Unless they RP jogging or walking enthusiasts, they probably won't enjoy holding down W (/+ Alt) in order to get across town, which they're going to achieve in like 15 minutes. Not to mention going to small towns like Angel Pine or Bayside. Yes, there is something like calling a cab, but A) the fare may be a little big expensive for some people; B) there's no guarantee that there is going to be any taxi available (taxi drivers online/on duty)when they need it. So how about using a form of transportation, that probably every one of us has used at least once in their life - buses? (Or maybe trams? Hell, we're in San Fierro.)

On some of the servers I have played, there was a bus script. No, there wasn't a Bus/Coach driving around from bus stop to bus stop - it's availability is based on the same factor described under the letter B above. Typing /bus while on a scripted bus stop would present us a list of other bus stops, along with a reasonable fee and estimated time of travel. After paying for a ticket, players would have to wait through the timer to get teleported to their desired bus stop, then they could walk wherever they've wanted to go from there. There was also a thing of teleporting them into a bus (a.k.a. plane) interior, letting them RP the ride, perhaps with other users of public transport. For anyone present around the bus stop while the player have departed/arrived, there would be a scripted /me chat message saying "[PLAYER] got on/off the bus, heading towards/from [BUS STOP NAME/NUMBER/LOCATION]."

Of course this system would probably lead to a demise of taxi driving, so there is a way to get around it. The ability to use a bus would be disabled if there is a certain amount of taxi drivers on duty (around 2-4), and/or the ticket prices would be increased in that case. I've also experienced in some cases, that some of the servers would make new players/characters with very few hours online ride the buses for free, letting them save some pocket money for a rainy day.

Any thoughts, suggestions, complaints? Leave them down below. Thank you.

Why not trams? I'd love to see them implemented.
