Background Story
Daniel Laspiro is a college drop-out, he was taking a degree of automotive engineering. He lost his parents in a car accident when he was 10 years old, his uncle took care of him. His uncle own a small mechanic-shop, he grew up with his uncle and spent most of his time at the garage. Learning different things when it comes to vehicles, he also got involved with a small-time crime when he was in high school. They were stealing scrap metals from junk-shop, then selling it to another junk shop. In short Daniel Laspiro is a troublmaker, he was also a outstanding student back when he was at college. Becoming a automotive engineer is what he want to become, but then he was set-up by his room-mate. The authorities found a gram of cocaine inside his dorm's drawer, that's why he got kicked out of the school. He was also accused of selling illegal narcotics inside the school, which is not true. The Authorities didn't find any evidence about that, so they let him off about that charge. He was still kicked out of his school, then he came back to his Uncle's garage. He started to work there as a mechanic, trying to help his uncle save up some cash. He was a man of talents, they have to save up a lot of cash for them to pay up bills and make sure the bank won't take the garage. Since he know a lot of things about cars, he used that as a advantage. He was snatching cars for a local mobster around their neighborhood in exchange of enough cash for him to help his uncle out.
Chapter I - Wrong Direction
It was a total downfall for Daniel Laspiro when he was expelled from his school for something he did not actually do. Eventually he decided to return to his uncle who ran a small, automobile repair shop. Daniel started to work there as an assistant alongside his uncle, which only provided him with a small amount of cash. It not enough for him to even save up for the future. Daniel, being just a young man with a dream to become someone great, had blown his only opportunity for a successful life in the future when he was kicked out of school. That is until he met a guy known as Ralph Merlo, a local mobster who ran a small car theft ring around town. His uncle was in debt to Ralph Merlo, having difficulty repaying his debt, Daniel feared for his uncle's life after becoming aware of the situation. Daniel wanted to help his uncle out, giving him the motivation to approach Ralph, willing to work off his uncle's debt and earn his own money in the process. Ralph Merlo was wary of Laspiro in the beginning, since he barely knew him until Laspiro proved to be of use. Ralph gave him a chance to show what he was capable of, knowing it would not place him in any risk but Daniel instead. Daniel had to do something an undercover cop couldn't do, commit a crime; Grand Theft Auto. With his knowledge when it came to cars, it wasn't such a difficult task.
It was Christmas Eve when Daniel committed his first car theft, with the help of a childhood friend, they drove through neighborhoods scoping out any potential targets. Eventually they spotted a 2014 Toyota Prius. Around the current time everyone was inside their homes celebrating with their families or asleep. Daniel and his friend took advantage of the situation, their hearts racing rapidly yet they found the motivation to continue. For a moment, Daniel felt like his heart was about to jump out of his chest, successfully jacking the car in a matter of minutes. They fled the neighborhood like nothing ever happened, ditching the Prius in a secluded location for Ralph to send someone and pick it up. It was an easy yet risky job but for Daniel it was too much for him to handle due to his guilty conscience and what may happen in the future. Ralph seemed impressed but until this day, Daniel still doesn't know if he was or not. Although Ralph was did have a smirk on his face when Ralph approached him later that week after proving to him that he was worthy of Ralph's time.
Daniel Laspiro earned a decent amount of cash from Ralph, most it was kept by Ralph to pay off his uncle's debts. However, Daniel was still grateful for the amount. It would take him a year to make ten large working as an assistant, yet working for Ralph in the future, he realized he could earn ten grand in a month. Daniel sucked all of his guilt in and became a man, he started to jack more and more cars around the city, working like a regular employee for Ralph Merlo. He was an ambitious fella, he'll do anything just to achieve his dream. This is why Ralph Merlo took him under his wings, because Daniel Laspiro is a good, reliable earner.
