I'd suggest to change the server host so my country mate or anyone have a bad internet connections cannot face this ping issues. It would be great if this server will be hosted at USA.
Server Host
Started by VenzKhalifa,
They will get better servers later on once they obtain enough money.. hopefully, only time will tell.
are you seriously asking for them to change servers so you have better ping? most of the players are european lol

This. It's fine how it is but who knows they might upgrade soon.
Yep. I'd stick with where the majority comes from, if European - host it there. If North-American/Asian, host it over there. The most fair solution in my eyes.
I can see them hosting it somewhere on the Eastern side of US/Canada like LS-RP, that gave us on the western side some good ping.
Say a server in New York...
- Good ping on the western side of the US/Canada
- Good ping on western side of Europe
Although, the middle eastern & Australia might suffer a bit. But if our playerbase is primarily from America & Europe, I think Eastern US would be a good choice. Everyone wins.
Ping doesn't affect you too much on RP servers. Not a big deal, they should just go with what's affordable and reliable. I've been RPing and DMing with 180-200 ping since 09, never had many issues.

that's true.. until you get lag-pit'd 90% of the time. I don't wanna see /b skip? in this server.
USA has the best internet services in the world. I've been to many servers where the host has been in many locations and I never experience lag-spikes or lag because our internet here is supreme.
obvious troll.
That's what you're trying to imply?

Ignorance is bliss, eh?
I was stating geographically, smarty. It doesn't have to be in the US, obviously. But it's better of in the US because it covers most of US and most of Europe, best of both worlds. It's literally in between of both, so everyone would have nearly the same ping.
It seems that they are currently running the servers through OVH. Here is an image of the data centers they currently have. They don't have anything in the US as of now. I think they should hold off on changing servers to the US until the Net Neutrality Repeal has been voted on an solidly decided. If it is repealed there could be many issues for smaller companies with servers in the US.

The server infrastructure is a private matter and is decided internally, if there are issues we will aim to fix them.
Don't see how you can make a judgement about the quality of the servers seeing as the server isn't even open yet but eh, locked & archived.
