I think the server should have ic events like meteors falling from the sky wildfires electronic  music festivals earthquakes hurricanes etc it would bring some awsome rp and would be fun to do for   the electronic  music festival you should be able to buy like the hippo man costume and snacks i don't know i think server events that are ic would be fun but that's just me i think alot of other people will enjoy this too there should should be server anniversary events too. :) also we need a events team to manage the events that will happen and to create events that they come up with i think that is a must in order to have successful events.

I'm sure we'll eventually have events as the server progresses. This isn't something that really needs attention at the servers current state.

No natural calamities. They just bring bugs and tons of desynced ninja jackers. Some player generated IC events like the music festival you mentioned are cool but definitely not a priority.

Glad we will have server events in the future.

Well the people who abuse the natural disasters will be punished by administration and yea for sure it's not a priority by any means.

We will most certainly have events in the future, but as of now, it isn't an important aspect, nor a priority.

Nope.

Wasn't a fan of the earthquake and hurriance type events on LSRP, they became reptitive. Now, music festivals, UFC events, and other things like that would be great additions, even a Christmas market that visits once a year.

Not really needed as of now. As Kane said, I'm sure we'll have this as time goes by.

Not now but maybe in future.

This. Natural disasters are realistic but boring. They also either force the role play upon players, most of them anyway, or don't involve them all (such as PD/FD-only). Player-oriented events would be a cool thing to see, however. An Events Team should also be put in place.

Back on another server, myself and a friend asked the admins to set up a stage, on which we did a "live perfomance" of some random songs being played through a jukebox. The turnout was pretty cool too.

Yeah, as the person who did this too, the idea of a music festival would be something i'd love to be a part of.

Do I sense a Delgado Democrats reunion tour on the horizon?

Yes we do need a events team in the near future as for the natural disasters they were cool.

Some of them are cool, yeah. Any event is good. What's not good is only focusing on one type of event.

Not a fan of a specific events team, I think anybody competent enough to be an admin is competent enough to run an event.

Not a fan of natural disasters, or having an events team.

I could name many Indian/Pakistani servers that i've had the misfortune of playing on that all have these 'one team for every circumstance' outlook, and guess where they are now? Not here that's where.

If you have a team only running events, that's all they'll be doing. You're much better off just having a team of admins that can organise and run these events, as it keeps them busy and wanting to continue playing the server. If you simplify something enough, it will become overcomplicated. As weird as that sounds, it's true.

Much better off just leaving the events organising and running down to the admins. I doubt they'll have any issues running them anyway.

As for the natural disasters, complete waste of time in my personal opinion. From experience, it just makes the general atmosphere of the server feel over-saturated, forcing the same roleplay onto everybody that may not want to partake in said roleplay. I can just foreshadow the desync issues already. Especially because if you're doing an earthquake/tornado natural disaster event, and then you'll need to incorporate a whole bunch of mapping as well as script updates, and that won't be fun for those with bad internet and/or bad computers.

If you want a user-friendly experience, you've got to think about the end-user. And for me, I don't personally feel this will create a pleasurable experience for all end-users (sure, for some like yourself it would be great, but for those with worse internet/computer specs, I doubt you'd be creating a fun experience).

tl;dr, events teams and natural disaster events are typically aids.

Stereotype has some valid points..

I think we're better off exploring a events team when the server has progressed.

Nonetheless, thanks for the suggestion.
