Sometimes when you shoot someone, on your screen you hit the target but from passed experience on almost every single server I've played shots sometimes don't register. I think a hit marker system would help indicate when you've actually hit the target and the shot has actually registered.
Besides the point above, I personally think the hit marker looks good and could be used as a unique thing as I rarely see them used on RP servers.
Yeah, I definitely agree. We need a hitmarker to indicate whether shots are registered, this is certainly required on a RP server, and will be very helpful for us in the future, especially for PD and criminals during shootouts. I wholeheartedly support! PR-RP and V-RP used to have this system too.
TBH, other servers had a hard time with hacking cases because you couldn't tell if the shot registered for both players, if someone was hacking, or if it was desync. It's not a bad idea tbh.
Whoever said that this is a roleplay server and not a DM one, let me tell you something. Just because this suggestion is about a hit marker, doesn't give you the right to say that. It's a suggestion that most players want added to the community afterall, including me. Supporting.

If you want it to turn into a DM server then sure go for it this won't help the server at all.
Obviously this topic has some following so let's create a list of pros and cons.
Pros-
I can see when I shoot someone
A select few members of the community want it.
It can "tell you when shots have registered"
Cons-
Promotes metagaming by telling you when you've shot someone.
Removes the whole point of other players roleplaying the effects of being shot.
Provides no addition or benefit to roleplay whatsoever
I believe GTA has a hitmarker noise implemented into the game anyway (correct me if I'm wrong, however I think it's a ding/bell sound)
How does it prevent someone from roleplaying the shot effects? It literally is a simple hit marker that helps you detect health hackers and tells you if your shots registered. It was a feature in a big server and was loved by everyone. Also, he never asked to implement any "ting" noise, all he wants is the marker and I support it.
