I'm not sure if this has been discussed or not, but I think purchasable garages that aren't attached to a house or business would be very nice to have. San Fierro has plenty of garages on their own all around the city, so it wouldn't be out of the question. I don't think they should be too expensive, but it would serve as a decent money sink. It could easily enhance the roleplay around storage as well as vehicles, too.

That's something to have in mind, yes. It's way more realistic for a mechanical firm to operate out of a standalone garage than out of a garaged that's attached to a house. You can also find plenty of other uses to such garages. Definitely supporting.

These are scattered all around San Fierro in game, so it's not out of the question. There's a few other spots that could go up as stand-alone garages. I can shoot you a PM with a few more spots if needed, just let me know.

Call me stupid, but i'm unsure if what you said is what I'm thinking (It's 7AM, i'm tired :) )) but uh.. If this means having a property like a house, that kind of system for those garages. If the player owning it is to get permanently banned, in which you loose your properties, this would bring quite some roleplay as well, maybe introducing on-forum auctions for the garage, or live auctions, and make it such as you can not see what's inside of it.. Which vehicles. So when you're buying it, it's basically blind and you can get lucky, or you can extremely overpay and cry. If this is what you meant, than I like you :)
