I feel like car crash should be a mandatory to RP. UNLESS the accident is caused by a game bug.
RPing car crashes
Started by west.,
Personally, I prefer roleplaying collisions to be strictly mandatory with very few exceptions. Exceptions including frame/ping lag and sudden glitches caused by the game or the script itself. Both cases must be agreed by both parties before voiding the roleplay, but an administrator still have the authority to force players to roleplay the scene if necessary. Spinning out and hitting light poles (only destructible ones) can be carried on, but flipping your vehicle must be roleplayed accordingly.
Granted that roleplaying collisions can be boring, let us not forget that we should also give the Fire Department an opportunity to roleplay these scenarios as well.
I will bring this discussion up to the administration team during the next review of the community rules to avoid any conflicting opinions that may arise in-game.
I would really like playres to exaggerate and RP every single crash situation, every scratch, after all, we are on a RP server.
Might be taken more serious with a good vehicle system in place, damage related.
I don't care that much as to whether it is/isn't mandatory to roleplay all crashes, as long as it's clear in the rules, as I've found it to be a foggy rule elsewhere. I think as long as lag doesn't play a part and it's on purpose/poor driving, then it should be RP'd.
We should RP all car collisions. Except when it is glitch, script, lagg or ping.. Both parties can agree to void it in that case. However, SF has a lot of hills. So, it will be harder to drive in SF.
/b rp?
/b nah, we good
/b aight, hf
I see why skipping them is reasonable however imo it degrades the quality of the server. If the policy is going to be 'skip it if you want to' then legit like 95% percent of the accidents are going to be skipped and those RP opportunities will be useless. This is an RP server right?
And tbh, 90% of the accidents are causes because people drive like chimps. Drive normally like you would irl and they rarely happen. Ya'll are just being lazy.
you dont get in crashes every 10 minutes irl. If someone wants to skip then let them skip or youre going to get some half arsed roleplay that nobody enjoys.

drive normally and you won't crash every 10 minutes either. the only issue is that people legit drive like monkeys *in game.

And you can't control what others do.

thats true.
This is a roleplay server thus you should roleplay crashes and any potential injuries accordingly.
If you have trouble understanding that then go to a light roleplay server, it's as simple as that.

If youre telling me you roleplay all the injuries on your accidents for however long theyll last
youre lying.
I think both parties should roleplay car crashes and if one of them feels like investing his character development and roleplaying a scar or a permanent injury, I'll take my hat off for him. It's like when you get killed, it's just a PK unless the person decides to make it a CK.

SF is a small map compared to LS, I'm quite sure. So it'd really be a pain in the ass and there'd be much more accidents that happen on servers with the LS map.

Drive normally and legally and accidents won't happen!

How will anyone drive 'legally and normally' if there are no traffic lights? 🤔

There's plenty of traffic lights in San Fierro which will hopefully be an obligation to roleplay.

I mean stuff that will be enforced. If it's not the rules saying that traffic lights are IC and not an OOC aspect, then it will mess up driving.

I mean, it is a roleplay server. I hope that the majority of players have the common sense to roleplay traffic lights.
