Chapter 1 - Partners

BEEP. Nicholas hung up the phone in agony. After his wife Vivian found out that he had been cheating on him, she left him and took away their seven year old daughter, Jane. Nicholas was not allowed to see his ex-wife and his child. He would occasionally talk to Jane on the phone, but deep down inside, he just wanted to caress the innocent face of his little girl. He knew that he had screwed up. Vivian and him were not getting along anyway. The two would constantly argue over some thing or the another. In fact, they did not even realize how their daughter felt. Nicholas started going out with Joseph Cattaneo, a childhood friend with whom he used to share everything. He met him on a cold winter's night. Joseph was breaking into a car, when Nicholas spotted him and jogged over to see what was going on. Joseph was caught, he thought it was over, however, Nicholas being from the same background as Joseph cut a deal with Joey, they agreed to split the money they'd get from bringing the stolen car to a scrapyard if Nicholas didn't snitch. And as Joseph soon found out, they made amazing partners in crime, Nicholas with his impeccable hot-wiring skills sparked the engine into life, this was the beginning. One fine night when the two hit the local bar, Nicholas told Joseph about Vivian. "She said, I don't even know if you care about us anymore. She said /that/ in front of Jane." Joseph being a committed man in the past himself was able to see through Nicholas. The two had simply so much in common.

Chapter 2 - Long Road Ahead

On Joseph's insistence, him and Nicholas entered into a small crew. They started couriering drugs in and out of Italy with the help of their associates. However, their drug ring was heavily hit when the leader of their crew, Anthony Indellicato was gunned down in a drive-by by their rivals. After this, the duo knew there was a price on their heads. They only had one option, to say goodbye to everything they knew and loved in Italy and move out. The duo made preparations to leave the country, and re assemble the crew in San Fierro. Gathering the product to get them back on their feet wasn't hard, Joseph still had trusted friends in Italy who helped him import a mass supply of firearms and narcotics into the country.

Chapter 3 - Bury The Past

As Nicholas and Joseph settled into San Fierro, they took hold of a small restaurant cum office, it is known to associates of the Mafia as "Indellicato's Social" in honor of their previous crew leader, Anthony. It is  a known social hangout for the associates, as well as a legal front for the Mafia to make money legally. From one end of San Fierro to the other, the Mafia plan to open businesses and Social Areas and hangouts all over the city, to waft away as much attention from their illegal activities as possible. Now that things had started looking up for the two again, Nicholas decided to check things back at Italy. He rang up his wife, but she did not respond. Not quite alarmed, Nicholas hit her line up frequently but she never responded. After getting the word out to a couple of his known friends back there, to his surprise, he had found out that his ex-wife and his daughter died in a fatal car crash accident a couple of weeks ago. The news hit Nicholas like a punch to his jaw. He cursed himself in despair, wishing that he should have done what he did. Moreover, he was sore about not letting Vivian know that he had realized what he did. He just wanted to hear his little girl's voice one last time. As he sat in his office, drinking, he heard the door creek which was followed by a voice - "Nick?"
