A simple application that could repel hackers and trolls while we wait for the UCP is good enough. Although this does mean that the Staff Team would be met with over 300 applications in the first two days, or even in the opening day itself. It'll take them some time to reply to all those applications, but I can wait. Not sure if others are as patient, though.
I don't know about the staff but I would love to help to reply to these applications. However, they could finish UCP earlier than the server's opening. Allowing us to have our characters so we will be ready when this server opens.
Other server's with similar levels of hype had managed to filter through applications before opening.
It's important to ride the hype and if most people flowing into the server here realize that the quality is poo one week in, it's unlikely they're going to come back.
In game applications will be excruciating to handle on the opening day lmao, we are expected to go over the slots limit, so let's say 300 applications at once is just fucking a lot. I would rather wait until the UCP is totally done than get my hype wasted on some trolls who joined cuz we have no proper applications system. Take your time, this server has brought back most of us after we had lost it for samp, so this better be as good as possible.
A temporary multiple choice test would be sufficient until a more fleshed out application system is implemented. Having a heavy roleplay server open to the masses is a mistake, in my opinion.

Lmao second thread where I quote you to disagree in a row
I don't agree with this. I think quite the opposide. It's best to be a heavy roleplay server from the very start or else the elitists who came on BA-RP won't want to stay. The good roleplayers. I will stay but most of them won't want to stay, I just know it. And then if we lose them... you know.

Perhaps I worded that poorly. I'm saying that having a heavy roleplay server like this one, open to players who perhaps haven't tried heavy roleplay or haven't roleplayed at all is a poor idea as there will be no quality control.
Yeah, I misunderstood your post. Absolutely. It should be hard to get into the server, there should be UCP right on the very first day. Or else us good roleplayers won't have much fun in the beginning. I'm all for teaching less good rp'ers but the complete new and un-informed players should first learn the basics.
Saying the staff wont be ready to handle application is no excuse, it just means the staff team are not ready for launch. I don’t think the server should be joinable to anyone and invite all the trolls choosing quantity over quality. We’ve waited this long for the server release, i think we’ll manage waiting for our characters to be accepted if applications take time.

I'll take a wild guess and say that 99% of the people on this forum know how to role play to an acceptable degree and have experience from other role play servers. Going through 2000+ character applications would be a waste of time for the staff team, and just an unneeded extra step for the current playerbase, especially when the questions will be simple. You wouldn't register on the forum of a role play server that hasn't even launched unless you know what role play is about. I think when the server launches, the current members of the community should get a pass and freely play (or at most fill out a quick in-game test), and then from that point on there should be an application process so random people without an idea of what role play is who see the server on the list don't just join it without knowing the basics.
