Cons: there's only two major cons I can think of. One is that it will contribute to players who play solely for shootouts and action - after they die with no consequences, they can respawn and restart their robbing/shooting spree. Admins will have to be extra alert for brigades like that and shut them down. The other con is that if guns flood the streets, they'll become worthless. If I somehow manage to find 20 handguns and I keep the one on me whenever I die, and I keep all my guns whenever I namechange, I'll probably never have to buy another gun for as long as I play on the server, and in return I won't have to role play with a gun dealer anymore.
This might outweigh the pros, honestly. There isn't any kind of worry about dying in an active shooting scenario, so people will just throw themselves off a cliff.
so they deff should do this is sounds great BC if i kill someone with a AK that rolled up on me i want my hard work of aiming to be worth the trouble lmao
People that are saying "Weapons not disappearing will make people dm so they can take your weapon" The person that got DM'ed can easily take screenshots/record their footage and they don't even have to give you the weapon because they have to "/givegun (69)"
Why not have a system where you could give your gun to your buddy if he's close by when you die? You should willingly be able to give your gun to whoever you chose to when you die, and not be forced by another player to hand over your piece because it's in the same boat as the killing after a robbery rule. If you die in a gang shoot out but your friends live, you should be able to hand your gun over and recover it upon resurrecting. Having retards respawn minutes later with that same gun on hand is a recipe for disaster.
This will make it harder for us to earn money by buying our items back which will make the value of money go higher, so hereby fucking our economy up. Look at RCRP, they keep the items even after they die and it's system has pretty good effects/results. I don't see, why they shouldn't be able to keep their guns or items. @kane
I'd honestly stand for everything disappearing, depending on the situation; if emergency services manage to bring you back to life, you'll get back your stuff. Otherwise things stay where you died, unless someoen takes everything.
The only problem I have with this is that whenever someone kills somebody during a shootout, the first thing they'll do is run all the way towards the dead body just to pick up their weapon. When in real life, you'd just run away from the scene since you don't know if a cop is around the corner.

Most shootouts are with deagles so there wont be any point to steal tgeir gun as it probably wont work. People using M4s/Shotguns probably wont run the risk of doing that.

You'd be surprised. I remember playing on a server where guns didn't disappear, people with AK's and M4's would just leg it to the nearest corpse if they even had a hint that they had better weapons like a rifle or a sniper.
I dont think guns should despawn because they take away from the realism. If a player is acting Non-RP then they should be punished. Simply despawning a weapon(s) is a cheap and lazy shortcut.
they should stay imo, but make it that the gun has the amount of ammo which is currently in the clip by default, for example if you pick up a deagle there would be 7 ammo on it if you pick up an M4 you'll have 30 ammo, like this it should be fair for everyone because no guns irl have 300 bullets in them, only one clip/mag right?
