Yeah, I feel like it would look very buggy. Especially if the mapping wasn't loading from afar.
We shouldn't link it to the real Alcatraz though. Alcatraz wasn't used to house common criminals. It was actually the other way around. Some of the most notorious criminals of the US (including Al Capone) and those who were big problems in other prisons were taken there. As far as I know, the whole prison housed around 38 people at a time, at some point.
It would be really cool to have a prison island though. The only problem that I can see with it is that people can't really break out of it, or it is really hard, so it would be unfair for the illegal roleplayers.
That would require mapping an entire island, also, considering the place was shut down decades ago, there's no reason.
