Renting AND Buying houses.

Of course we should be able to buy houses but like in real life, some of us won't be able to afford this.

This is why I say we should rent it for a fixed amount every payday to pay off the total price of the house. When it's all paid off the house is rightfully there's.

This can be done by being taken from their bank every payday but if they do not have enough money they can either go in debt or get evicted.

Thoughts?

You mean a mortgage?

I do not support this suggestion, too unrealistic. The whole concept of taking a loan already defeats the purpose of this suggestion.

You clearly don't know how housing works IRL. A lot of people rent.

Sure, they rent. Doesn't mean they get the house after a certain amount of time lmao.

Your point being? Renting a residential or commercial area doesn't mean that said area is entitled to you after a certain amount of time, unless stipulated CLEARLY in the rental contract (which never ever happens in normal circumstances).

What do you mean by mortgage? It has no relevance to this suggestion.

He meant players should be able to take out a mortgage.

Not rent

Ah.. still, that means the player must have a collateral that has an equal or higher value than the requested loan. No collateral = no mortgage loan.

Kinda stupid idea with limited areas, it would mean that everyone who gets in first and best dressed, gets their own house, and as long as they keep up their activity they keep it for ever.

However I could see this working in the future when the economy sorts itself out and people get settled, but not an opening thing, no.

Ok I like this suggestion, but I don't like this suggestion being a gamemode addition. Back on a old server I played on, I opened my own real-estate company, renting businesses, houses, apartments. So i'm quite sure, and I saw someone make a real-estate faction thread for themselves, so i'm sure once they grow, they'd work on getting that done for you. As this is a IC concern, not really a gamemode one. Because if in real life, nobody is leasing a house/apartment, you won't be able to find a place to rent. Same as here, let the upcoming growing real-estate agencies do their thing and sit back and enjoy the ride.
