Airplane & Airports

I'm wondering if a job will be scripted or if you'll be able to roleplay an airline or whatever, like Delta, for example. It'd be interesting because it could enhance both criminal (no, I don't mean terrorism, I mean evading house arrest for example) and civilian roleplay. You could roleplay booking a flight from San Fierro to Los Santos, that is if Los Santos gets scripted. Just an idea.

I've always wanted to see this happen. Maybe within 6-12 months once the server is rocking loads of players this could be a reality. It could really enhance roleplay experiences, with everyone being on a plane, waiting 30-45 mins for the plane to arrive at the other side etc. It would be nice to see LS or even LV be scripted in but that would divide everyone and make the server seem more empty. Maybe certain services could be only usable in another city etc. Such as a name change in LV or fake IDs or something etc. At the very least, it would be nice to see usable gas stations etc.

It's difficult for airline factions to exist on the majority of these roleplay servers because they're so defined to the city they're based in. Sure, in the future a smaller "county runway" may be put in to take players from SF into Bone County, TR, Whetstone, Flint as opposed to getting a taxi or spending a lot of fuel going out there.

In the short term, I don't think it's worth it because it'd be nice to focus on getting bearings in SF.

In the long run however, I think people could roleplay taking a small plane out to the countryside for a vacay or something.

I haven't seen a successful airline on any RP server, period. Sure, it sounds like a neat idea on paper but they never actually work and fail fairly quickly. People always prefer ground transportation to move around rather than aviation. Plus, it takes a lot of planning and roleplay to organize an airline. Wouldn't hurt to try though.

I think  that the server could try new things out at the beginning and if it works out it could be a really fun roleplay and could make things more realistic. From what I see this is a great idea and I can see it working in the near future with the right system.

Another point that I want to put out is that since the server is based on the county and SF there is no need of airlines going around and will just be a waste. We would have to wait if the server decides to expand to all the cities.

Pretty certain Los Santos and Las Venturas will be inaccessible to restrict roleplay in Bay Area and Angel Pine/Flint. I don't think it's necessary to have airplanes right now. You can still roleplay booking a flight outside the state without this. If we opened those cities, then it could be a possibility.

Don't think this suggestion would do good for now, since the server at present moment does not have a stable player base (along with small? accessible locations).
