Chapter I: The Shots Heard Around the World

Automatic gun-fire and pistols filled the air. A shoot-out that claimed innocent civilians and gangsters alike started when the SFPD started a chase with Mafia affiliates. A body dumped. A father lost. A mother left with a son to raise. This is how Aubrey Baker's life started in the criminal-infested neighborhood of Calton Heights; through the death of his father.

Earlier that day...

Cries can be heard from the small one-bedroom house. "There has to be a better way, Grant! You don't have to do this anymore. I thought you said we were done." Aubrey's father argued back and forth with his mother about his form of work. She feared the worst was only yet to come. "Listen, babe. Lucky isn't going to keep allowing me to slide with this, honey. This is the /last/ time... I promise." He kissed her on the forehead, pulled her close and walked out the door.

3:23 a.m., the phone rang in the Baker residence. "Hello?," On the other line was a SFPD officer informing Aubrey's mother of her husband's murder. "...I'm not sure of all the details, but he's been badly dismembered, ma'am. And uh.. (Officer Harris clears his throat before continuing.) ... drowned to death in the... (Officer Harris mutters the last part.) ... San Fierro Bay. I'm sorry, ma'am." The phone drops. Aubrey wakes up in a crying fit and so begins the struggles of the Baker residence. But where do the shots come in? How did we go from a baseball game to a phone call at 3 a.m.?

Sirens sounded behind a large four-door SUV seeming to be carrying Lucky Quinn's henchmen armed with automatic rifles. A chase ensues which lasted for several hours finally ending at the baseball game, which was 12 hours directly after the phone call. But this was only the beginning of Aubrey's tragic upbringing. The loss of a father, the death of Mafia members. Mitch, as he would later be called, grew up in a rough Asain dominated neighborhood infested with drugs and other gangs who wanted control of the Bay Area hot spot split by a single winding road.

Unfortunately, we've skipped the most important parts of Aubrey's story: How his parents met? Let's rewind a bit.

Andrews School, 1994

Summer 1994 was one the greatest times to be alive. At least in my standards. I was 16 years old and every girl wanted me.  What kind of man would I be if I didn't slip in a little "King G" time with these other broads; as long as Tabitha didn't find out, right? Captain Quaterback, local dope runner for Lucky and his gang, and shit I was the  pretty boy too. I had it all. Until one day changed my life.

(WARNING: Graphic Material.... just kidding)

Squeak! Squeak! Crack! The headboard rocked and shook as Grant thrusted into Tabitha with all his might. Somehow Grant had managed to convince Tabitha to let him raw dog as he slid deeper into her wet abyss. After a good 45 minutes of sweaty thrusts, moans, and whispers in the ear such as "Baby, you're too loud..." or "You're gonna wake your mom and dad." It was over. Grant might as well have called himself a father, but of course how could he know? They spent the rest of the night together and Grant jumped out the window before her parents woke up. But this was only the beginning of the journey and the start of a family of crime...

"Mr. Baker, you can join us now...," says the nurse. I had dropped earlier in my senior year of 1995. I had no choice. He was here and he was my world; and looking into his grey eyes made it all the more better. "What we gonna name him, Tabby?" said Baker as he stared at the tired and new mother, Tabitha Greene. New parents to Aubrey, he squirmed and hollered to the top of his lungs, wailing his arms in the air with a red face. "Aubrey." They shared a gaze, and Grant chimed in, "Mitchell... Aubrey Mitchell.."
