To install, simply copy-paste everything from the archive into your GTA folder, replacing previous files along the way. Xyna and me managed to apply a little bugfix on the mod - this particular version shouldn't crash when pressing Resume Game in the ESC menu, a problem which many people complained about.
Edit: May not work properly on new SA-MP versions.
Everytime I try to use a GTA IV or V HUD my game takes a massive shite on my head and goes on strike.
Aw, sad to hear that. I've been using this one ever since it was released (years ago) and I haven't had any major problems. My computer is kinda old too, yet everything runs smoothly. Perhaps some of your other mods are interfering with it? I don't know.
@Bunting Remove all your current mods and see if it works, if so chances are you'll have a conflict which is easy to locate. Otherwise all I can suggest is finding an alternative or staying with the stock game hud.
Copy/Pasted everything but I still get the original HUD when I log ingame :/
Something missing?
You need a specific version of GTA:SA.exe and some other files, so copy everything from the downloaded file, not just the GTA IV hud folder. I had a similar problem and that fixed it for me. Also, remember that this mod doesn't work with Modloader afaik.
