My apologies if something like this is already in the works.
This is a basic suggestion on the taxi job if one is in the works there should be two types of "licenses" which a person who wants to be a taxi driver has to pay for. I'm assuming the taxi job will be someone calls a number and it messages all user on taxi duty that a call arrived in a specific vicinity. After they accept it it should reveal the street location and users phone number to the driver.
The basic license - Allows the person to drive around in any vehicle that is already marked as a taxi(taxi, cabbie).
The advanced license - This allows the person to pick and choose vehicles he/she owns and declare them a taxi for example luxurious cars(Washington, Stretch, Stafford, etc) but obviously not limited to these cars. This license should be more expensive then the basic one as this would be more of a business type of RP. Allow people with this license to have the optional feature of putting a taxi symbol on their car(If this doesn't take alot of server resources.)
ALL CARS LICENSED AS TAXI'S Should have license plate numbers that distinguish them for example in my state any car service has license Plates that start with T and end with C example - T25326798C.
Sounds like a great idea, would be great if there was an actual organisation dishing these licenses out who then conducts a road-worthiness test to see if the vehicle a driver wishes to use is safe enough to carry passengers.

im sure every1 here can agree that the generic cabbies are boring since that's the only type of taxi you can use as a taxi driver, and the only type of taxi you'll ever see out there as a civilian looking for a ride

I fully support this idea. As someone who's RP'd taxi for a long time, having an Uber / Private hire style system would do more for RP. Especially Habeeb VIP which would be a higher class of taxi!
I don't care what it's like in Bratislava. Taxis in San Francisco abide by a four door sedan with no modifications or a minivan/cabbie. Uber operates under a similar regulation in the whole of California.
