Sick of 12 year olds in DOC
Most communities rely on Department of Corrections when implementing Juvenile Facilities, but the other main issue about DoC is the deteriorating activity due to the lack of interest. Since the server will most likely not have a Department of Corrections at this time, it will have be carried by the San Fierro Police Department.
The idea is great, but the problem is who is going to implement it.

I support this for young'uns in like bloods and crips getting arrested.
I support this as well. This would bring another element to roleplay, especially for those that do know how to roleplay in prison.
Keep them within the same facility but in separate cellblocks and yards - the yard preferably connected but separated by fencing to avoid physical interaction. The same could be said for segregation of female roleplayers. They all can go to the same facility with realism intact. If you were to separate them into different areas - it'd simply cause confusion and spread them around to the point where it'd be hard to find anyone to interact with.

Giga hit the nail on the head surrounding any issues with your suggestion. If and when a correctional facility is implemented, perhaps there could be a system that allows the officer to imprison a criminal in either the juvenile facility or the fully-fledged correctional facility. As such, perhaps it would be best if the main correctional facility was a part of a juvenile facility, allowing any possible state corrections faction to roleplay across both detention centres.
An option between commands like /prison and /juvenileprison could come into play here.

Indeed It could be all together in one building just space everyone out and to jail, like you said use the /prison /juvenileprison commands.
But how much of the servers population is going to roleplay a minor?

I could see this working so long as it doesn't need to be moderated by COs. Make fighting/etc restricted to the adult facility only. That way the manpower isn't spread everywhere.
This suggestion is dependent on there being a department of corrections, it would be up to them how they handled Juveniles and we're still debating the rules on the minimum age of characters therefore I'm going to archive this for now.
