I mean like come on its just roleplay people would hate chicago gangs icly for occly reasons. Its just a game people should be able to roleplay what they want ( as long as it follows the rules) and yes people have different opinions but to hate someone icly for a occly reason is dumb.
Why do people hate Chicago gangs on samp?
Started by Dopey,
because people dont know how to properly portray Chicago gangs. Most times its just people screaming out BDK, GDK and DMing.

I get what you saying bro but people think everyone who rp chicago gangs are like that which is dumb some people actually know how to rp.
Because Chicago gangs are not commercial gangs like crips, bloods, surenos and nortenos. Chicago gangs go more into detail when it comes to laws and rules you need to follow but people that see video you see young kids acting crazy but they don't understand everything that goes down on the street in Chicago isn't a music video while the others that just think Chicago gangs just shoot people up. Chicago gang members don't really have leaders on the street as much but when they get locked up and sent to prison they gotta follow a chain of command like the old days due to being in there with 80s and 70s babies that run most of the shit inside of the jails.
yeah i've done a couple well portrayed chicago gangs on ls, Ylo cobras, latin kings, gangster two six, all factions got hated on so ik what you're saying.

Yeee that faction was litty
Sometimes Roleplaying bloods and crips gets boring and you want to try new things but when people hate on you it lowers your confidence regardless of if its a commerical gang or not its barely rp'd and this gives people a way to try something new.
I get bored roleplaying a blood because bloods, piru and brims all talk the same way act the same way as well. Crips are not all the same and each section has a different slang and don't act the same giving it a new feel, if you notice on samp you always see the same type of gangs, Brims, piru, bloods, surenos but with crips it's always gangster crips, right? Me and my niggas always pick the outside type of shit making us always go under the Neighborhood Crip card or we bangin rollin because we don't like following the trend that most everyone roleplays. If you noticed most people that makes crip gangs don't know how to roleplay crips, they think all crips get along, they don't..
I feel people that roleplay Chicago gangs need to know it's more than Stones, Vice Lords, 4CH, GDs and BDs. In my eyes I feel like they just roleplaying the same shit because they truly don't know about Chicago gangs only those gangs, I've roleplayed Chicago on LS a few times no black gangs just for the fact that people don't know shit about them so I picked the Hispanic ones but it's more than Stones, Lords, BDs and GDs in my city.

I feel you. They got MC's, Breeds, 4chs and more people just rp what they kno' and they only kno about bds, gds, stones, and lords because of the rappers like Chief keef, Lil jay, G herbo etc. I'm just tired of Rping Bloods and crips and want to try something new you feel me? I never rped Stones, 4ch, gds or mcs.

Stones, 4ch, GDs and MCs have been made.. Breeds, black souls, Latin Dragans, Spanish souls, Latin Jivers, Latin Lovers.. Shit like that hasn't been made.
Doesn't fit the setting imo. San Andreas is on a different coast, their culture differs from ours. Etu.
personally from what I've seen, people hate on Chicago gangs not because of the RP, but because the environment that San Andreas is set in doesn't support them.
I think it’s because a lot of people who go the realism route prefer to have the gang life be based on California since San Andreas is based on that state. They prefer the gangs that are active in California. So for them it’s a turn off when they see Chicago gangs and they probably think they look out of place culture wise too. You can make the best Chicago inspired gang and those people still won’t join it for that reason.

If you know anyting about Cali bloods the set called Black P Stone Jungles, not alot of people know but that is a Chicago gang. T Rogers is one known blood leader, hes from Chicago and started a Chicago gang in cali when the bloods and crips was first starting. Rogers choice to be apart of the bloods side due to BPS from Chicago sporting red plus they got into beef with the crips bullying everyone. So for you guys saying it doesn't fit the culture, you should look into it and it doesn't matter the culture, people adapt when in another area. I'm from Chicago IL IRL and it's surenos here they adapted to the Chicago life style same as a Chicago gang can adapt to a Cali life style, it's just that people hate and dislike it has nothing to do with a gang culture or not fitting because truthfully it's the people not being accepting.
Chicago gangs are not nation-wide to the extent of affiliation like the Bloods and Crips. To see midwestern gangs on the West Coast is rare, especially if they don't affiliate with the Bloods or Crips. You will not see a gang in California affiliating themselves with People Nation or Folk Nation because everyone around them would jump on them and kill them. It's like Nortenos in South LA, you won't find them - they sometimes pop up, but they're quickly snuffed out.

That's more of an exception than the standard. As Simeon said, people generally just want realistic roleplay and it generally discourages people from joining that gang as a result. You're going to likely run into conflict was a midwestern gang, especially one from Chicago, just on the basis of being foreign to the usual gangmembers in the area - that's a big detractor to the image of the gang as well if they constantly wage war against native gangs.
I think the best suggestion I can provide for people who want to play gangmembers here is to try something new - if you've always done Blood RP, try out Norteno streetgangs. If you've always done Hispanic RP, try out some Pinoy gang RP. Or even make a fictional DTO - San Francisco's main base of black gangmembers aren't actually Bloods or Crips, but just members of DTOs who might affiliate themselves with one side for convenience. They don't sport their shit openly.
An example from the wikipedia article on San Francisco - read it as you may.
QuoteSeveral street gangs operate in the Bay Area, including the Sureños and Norteños in San Francisco's Mission District.[160] African-American street gangs familiar in other cities, including the Crips, have struggled to establish footholds in the city,[161] although gangs with shotcallers in China, including Triad groups such as the Wo Hop To, have been reported active.[162] In 1977, an ongoing rivalry between two Chinese gangs led to a shooting attack at the Golden Dragon restaurant in Chinatown, which left five people dead and eleven wounded. Five members of the Joe Boys gang were arrested and convicted of the crime.[163] Oakland, which also sees organized gang violence, implemented Operation Ceasefire in 2012 in an effort to reduce the violence.[164]

You don't kno about California if you think Chicago gangs are not in them to keep it a buck with you chicago gangs are in almost all states. They got black p stones and Gangster disciples in California. Its not only Bloods and Crips. Its because they are not popularized is why people don't kno about them but there is alot of gangs in California that are from chicago. Your saying Chicago Gangs don't fit into the environment it does cause its in LA you just probably never heard of it.
