If a server does what the majority wants the majority of the players will it enjoy it. From what you've stated in different threads about this topic your main reason for not wanting real drug names is because you don't like the type of baggage or "cloud" that comes with it and you think It'll end up harming the server in some way. And from the looks of it a lot of people disagree with it. At the end of the day you're going to do what you want but just because you say It's good for the server doesn't mean it will be.

But what about the majority of the community that doesn't want this? What community isn't going to feel invited if we replace "Spank" with Meth? Chances are they're going to see it more than the one put into the script.
If you could dive further into detail about the type of person youre trying to pander to maybe we'd have a better understanding of what you're trying to do.
I can't think of a community that's going to be okay with gang violence, murder, kidnappings, and extortion but not okay with using real life drug names.
One question I have for you @DamianC is that if this server is going to be completely based on the Grand Theft Auto universe, then will the Crips and Bloods and other gangs not be allowed? Will it have to be whacky Grove and Ballas?
While there will be script names, nothing will keep you from giving these drugs your own ''cool sounding'' nicknames. If people don't want to roleplay gangs because the name of a drug isn't its real life equivalent.. They might be to focussed on the wrong thing. Roleplaying drug deals won't be any different if the names are simply different from their real life equivalents. I understand where you're comming from but I feel like we should trust Damain on this one, since the core roleplay will no change with the decision he made.

I'll say this. This drug thing is merely an example of where the server is heading and if this bothers you this much then I truly don't think it will be the server for you.

The point isn't to give it "cool sounding" nicknames. If somebody wants to call Meth Spank in-game then they should deal with the response they get from the person dealing the drugs to them or the person buying from them. The problem is that you're half-dipping in some places and then totally ignoring others. You can have real gang names but not real drug names because they haven't been utilized by R* (debunked).

I want to role-play on this server and I want it to be great but if your words stand true then yeah, you're right, this isn't the server for me. If your objective is to create a server to your own liking and taking suggestions and feedback from the playerbase means virtually nothing because you're just going to do what you want to do anyway then so be it, that's fine. It's just a bit depressing because we all had high hopes that our voices would be heard unlike on other serves. :/
I understand where you are coming from, but the only reasons people do not want the drugs is because they don't sound appealing.
No where has DamainC said that R* names will be used, who knows it might be possible for the community to create drugs more dynamically where you can decide status effects and basically you'll be able to create own drugs? (Would be cool). Or maybe there will be a few selected kinds that have no actual scripted name, I'm sure you can give nicknames to your drugs with friends and decide on the name itself roleplay wise.

So highlighting all the work and effort that you and your team have been doing for this server is okay but when somebody else uses the same type of example to argue a different perspective It's dramatic?
You're being vague on who you want this server to pander to, "You're not the type of person I want", "You should see where this server is going", this is what I'm talking about.
Just tell everybody flat out who you want to be on this server and who you don't.
@Anselmi I've had no problems getting immersed in fictional worlds, or samp servers.
I don't either, but when I'm trying to role play a methed out peckerwood who slings dope on the corner to feed his habit, it breaks my immersion to sell toilet cleaner. I've said before that I'm fine with a compromise, but most of the names suggested in the other thread would ruin it for me.
