Hello everyone, I am experiencing huge packetloss and ping ingame since 2015, I've had tried many ways to fix it but I failed to and i need help somebody tell me what should I do? I've called ISP but still no changes even i tried to fix it by configuring the wireless settings but i fucked it up, watched many videos on youtube but still my shit isn't going down. Just don't tell me "get a better internet" or shit, i need someone who knows about this issue.
Packet loss.
Started by Kolic,
get a better internet
U can't fix it, It's not ur computer/modem problem.
Try closing all other net apps and make samp the only net running app
If it wont get it lower let me know..
Sometimes it's working since people usually have other backround running apps that use your net also.
Edit:
Also if you are using wifi try getting the pc closer to router or if other pcs use the wifi, check if they use other net apps also...
The more pcs using wifi the more ping you will have.
For example if another pc is on the wifi too and he is downloading a movie or even using netflix and etc, than that pc uses more net data and you will have more ping.
Another way is to try plugging the router cable in your pc and using straight connection instead wifi.
Let me know if you tried man.

1. Move your house location to a sophisticated area with better internet fiber cables
2. Get a better internet
You decide which is easier

My modem is linked with TV, so I can't bring it near my pc because I've pc in another room.
Try plugging in to the router once just to see if it improves anything. This will tell you if it is an issue with the wireless connection or not.
Check to see if you have any devices using up your bandwidth with uploads. When I am uploading a video it can increase the ping of other devices by several hundred.
If your wired connection is slow, while for example no other devices are connected and no active downloads then your only option is to get better internet, sorry pal.
It's not my modem/wireless problem, it's my pc. Need more answers about this.

Well you tell me what apps...
Check what running apps uses your net and if you dont need them close them.
Try what I and Specter told you..
Plug the cable from the router to your pc and check if anything changes.
well, since you are using the internet on TV, on your PC and also wireless i guess it might be a bit normal to experience packetloss on wireless? I suggest you unplug it from the pc and connect your laptop to it via ethernet and see if you still experience packetloss
What did your ISP say about it?

Do you ever have any weird shit opened up in your browser? Have you tried doing malware/virus scans? Might be some weird bitcoin mining shit, but I'd also call your ISP and try to annoy them daily to fix it.

Change your wireless channel on the router settings?

I did, but i don't know which wireless channel has the strongest signal.
Do you even know what packet loss is? sounds like you want lower ping. Considering you don't know what malware/an anti-virus is, my best guess is that you've probably got bandwidth consuming programs in the background, in which case follow step 2 would be my suggestion.
- Close as many useless programs as possible and disable programs you don't require at startup.
- Run a virus scan using Malware Bytes. Choose a full scan. Depending on how much you have on your hard drive, this can take a while so let it finish and do its job. Make sure you also have a decent anti-virus also installed to run in the background like Avast.
- Do you use Wi-Fi or Ethernet? Try and use ethernet if possible, if not -- check to see if you have anything that could be blocking your signal.
- Where is your router? How far away are you from it? Do you have any air-conditioning, microwave or microwave oven that could be in the way of your router or signal?
- Is there anyone else on your network? Are you using a secure Wi-Fi network? Do you have any family members that are consuming bandwidth? Or is it a shared network that you're using in a rented place? etc.
- Have you tried doing a speed test on your phone and multiple computers? Are there any significant differences in particular positions of your home?
- Get an engineer to come out and investigate the issue
-
Try a different network card, e.g. an external USB wireless one etc.
Do the steps below at your own risk - Format your computer and start off with a fresh installation of Windows. Make sure you've backed up any important files to an external hard drive or USB stick. This includes network and motherboard drivers.
- Reset your router, after doing this you will need to login to it and change the password to join your network again etc.
- Buy a new router. It's unlikely that this could be the main issue, but depending on where you've positioned your router (and how old it is) -- e.g. putting it in direct sunlight or in areas where moist and gunk can build up, it's possible it could just be fucked.
- Switch ISPs, this obviously is a very difficult process as this can take weeks but this can be a very last resort if nothing works and you've tried absolutely everything.
