The Fruit Town Brims are a small yet long standing African American street gang which originated in the early 1970s in South Central LS, but spreaded towards San Fierro. This gang began as an off-shoot of the Ganton Fruit Town Piru when it was founded in 1974 by a former member of the gang who moved to west San Fierro and LS. The Fruit Town Brims are the smallest set of all other Brim gangs, geographically speaking. During the 1970s there was the 30s Fruit Town Brims which is located in 35th street, 36th street, 37th street, and 38th street. This marks them very close to one of their rivals the Rollin 30 Harlem Crips, which can be found in 39th. Another branch is the 40s Fruit Town Brims. The 40s Fruit Town Brims were located from 41st Street (north) to 48th Street. The Brims can be found in the district of Ocean Flats. Their most revered crip rivalry is with the Rollin 30 Harlem Crips, a rivalry which has lasted over 20 years and caused many casualties on both sides respectively. The rivalry is so deep that there is family member that oppose each other. The Other rivals include the Rollin 40s, Rollin 50s, Rollin 60s, Rollin 90s, the West Boulevard, the 6 Pacc East Coast Crips, 52 Hoover Gangster Crip, Mansfield Gangster Crip, Playboy Gangster Crip, Schoolyard Gangster Crip, and the 18 streeters. The Fruit Town Brims are cliqued up with every single Brim set, and are friendly towards the Rollin 20 Neighborhood Bloods, and the Black P Stones.

Many admitted members of the “Fruit Town Brims” set of the Bloods street gang was sentenced today to 151 months in prison for dealing heroin, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.
Tyrone Tyson Sr, 40, of San Fierro, pleaded guilty in October 2014 before U.S. District Judge Joseph E. Irenas to an information charging him with distributing and possession with intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin. Judge Irenas imposed the sentence today in San Fierro federal court.

Tyson controlled the activities of the “Fruit Town Brims” set of the Bloods in San Fierro. He was released in August 2013 from a 21-year state prison term for first-degree aggravated manslaughter and second-degree aggravated assault for shooting two people seated inside of a car and killing one of them. He began selling heroin in the area of North 37th Street in Ocean Flats and sold heroin to an undercover agent twice in September 2013, just one month after being released from prison. Tyson’s criminal history also includes convictions for possession of controlled dangerous substances, second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree aggravated assault, conspiracy to distribute controlled dangerous substances, and possessing an electronic communication device in a correctional facility.
