We should absolutely have health and armour bars, primarily to show whether people have actually been shot / hit during confrontations. I personally reckon it’d also look really odd not having health or armour bars.
I actually enjoyed having no health bars during the beta. It kept the screen less cluttered and I'm sure it'll be neater in situations where lots of players are standing near each other. I don't want to comment on cheats because there's always a program that will work its way around. In terms of metagaming, I understand that actions won't be influenced by peoples health, for better or worse. So long as the /helpup system works smoothly with this then I'm good for it to remain as is.
As with the above two, my only worry is people not roleplaying injuries after losing health. If healthbars aren’t visible, how are we supposed to ascertain whether we’ve hit someone or not?
A bit late on this one, but as all of you could guess health bars have theirs pros and cons.
Even though I think the pros definetly eclipse the cons on this one. I as many would prefer to just stop the brawling as soon as someone reaches a low amount of HP and for them to just roleplay(This also actually encourages roleplay more, unlike the /helpup cmd) their injuries instead of having to rely on a command that feels way too un-RP in my opinion. Other than that there is health hacks which apparently 'can't' be abused as stated by Ritz. Someone mentioned wallhacks as well, but I'm pretty sure those aren't compatible with 0.3.7 DL(Not that I've ever tried!). Then again, health bars can be used for MG''ing which shouldn't even happen for as many are here to actually RP, though of course there will always be some trolls or P2W'ers out there.
All in all, I don't mind having no health bar, I definetly prefer it, but I could do without. The thing that annoys me mostly though, is having to use a /helpup command after a fight which is just silly in my personal opinion.
