Hey! I think the actual size of how you see a forum avatar is too small. I think it needs to be larger like that : ayOI8cs.png

Needs to be bigger. ESPECIALLY for the dark theme.

Bigger = better, go big or go home. Supporting

I don't see why not, i think it could be a bit bigger indeed.

just a tiny bit wider and a bit longer would be fine

Ok. Lmao

OT: No preference from my side. Only possible issues I can come up with is for those with internet connections from the 90s causing slower loading times. For desktop (and laptop) forums, sure. As for the dark mobile theme I think they are fine as they are.

For as much as I support it, I'm pretty sure it takes up more space = more money spent on keeping the forums alive. I think?

The forums already have a close to 1MB limit for avatars, regardless of how wide and tall they are in pixels. So whether they're 32x32 or 300x300 it doesn't matter since they can't exceed the file size limit.

I definitely agree that the size of avatars should be wider as to fill up the whole user box.

I'll also note that the size of avatars is smaller on the dark theme than on the light/default one. They should be the same.

I'd say, 250 x 250.

Personally, I used inspect-element and messed around with the values of the CSS files to see the results of different avatar size values and such. I believe 200x200 would be a nice size to max it out at. 250x250 is too bulky and just looks out of place. 150x150 is nice but it is rather small and can make it tricky to get a message across if someone has text in their avatar. 200x200 gives people leniency with being able to spread a message or if someone just wants to have a bigger avatar. It isn't too bulky and still can look pretty nice. I also have the proper values for the framework.css file and what code needs to be modified if any of the web-developers are interested.

I did take screenshots of each of the different avatar sizes with the proper CSS values to make them match the general forum layout.

Personally, I'd be okay with either 150x150 or 200x200. As I stated above, 250x250 is too bulky and anything much lower than 150x150 would just be absurd in the first place. 150x150 allows for 3 posts to fit nicely into the screen. 200x200 allows for 2 full posts and possibly a third while still having nice-sized avatars. 250x250 barely allows 2 posts and will only be 1 posts in many circumstances. That's why I believe 200x200 would be the optimal fit for the forum.

Maybe 175px or 200 would be just fine. Maybe allow taller avatars too like 175x200/225 or something instead of squares, would allow people to upload bigger avatars but be as large horizontically.
