Staff Online

A table on the right of the forums that shows the staff online.

Ahh, it is really needed tho? If ever we need Staff they're on Discord or scrolling down on forums and check online list ?‍♀️

Yeah, it is really needed. Imagine if I have to talk to the legal faction manager and on discord his status is "busy". I can't know if he is actually available or not. Now there are few users connected on our forums but when there will be many? It will be much easier to see the staffers connected and available on the forum. It is not just a question of availability. It's a matter of convenience. It is a convenience that we can have since this board provides this functionality: I don't understand why we should deprive ourselves of it.

The beauty of forums is you can send a message and they'll see it when they see it. What difference does an online staff option make if they're online but busy as fuck. It's just going to allow staff to be spammed and you'll soon not like the idea of it.

I don't understand why such a simple proposal can generate so much controversy. The concept is very simple. This also works for the gameserver. When an administrator is on duty, in the tab of online users it has another color so as to be visible to all users. If you ask for help via /report, it is not certain that an administrator will arrive in record time, perhaps he is busy. Anyway the administrator is shown as online and available with another color. Timing for responses and flood/spam is another matter and it certainly does not concern this simple proposal.

I understand your point but in-game you're actively going to be searching for an admin who can assist in the fastest possible time. Internet forums work in a way where you can send a message and they'll eventually see it when they have the time to view it. I'm not against it but I see no proactive reason for it tbh

I think for general questions people are more likely to message any admin that's online on discord rather than check who's on at the forums, which also shows who's been active in like the last half hour, so there's a chance that the staff member they're messaging isn't even on anymore. People would only need a specific admin when it comes to problems/questions concerning specific things (factions, helpers, maps etc.) and even then they mostly just DM on discord.
