Why even sync the in-game time to a certain timezone in real life? A new system should be implemented, where the timezone in the server changes from time to time . That way, people from all over the world can experience both night and day in-game.
This is the best idea, imo. Make it 3-4 times the speed of real life.
I actually like the suggestion above - why not have the speed 2x-3x and have two days and nights within the same day? Day & Night in itself is a tool to aid roleplay, why not let everyone experience it?
The most immersion breaking thing for me in LSRP was the timezone the server was set in. I think it should be the same time zone as California. In the end, it doesn't really change anything, but it makes it more immersive.
Edit: I'd be cool with the server having it's own day night cycle.
I think that you should be able to choose from MPH and KPH, from miles and kilometers and all the other conversions instead of forcing them upon the player base. Most players are European. Enforcing such measurements will only feel weird for them, not necessarily realistic.
