Joseph "Joey" Cattaneo and his childhood companion and brother in crime, Nicholas Langella were born an raised in urban Italy during the late 1990s. Due to the heavy influence of the mafias and street gangs, he started to indulge himself in crime. He was a crook, he always loved trouble, from swiping little sweets from the local stores as a kid to harboring narcotics as a young adult, he did it all. Joseph met Nicholas on a cold winter's night. Joseph was breaking into a car when Nicholas spotted him and jogged over to see what was going on. He was caught, he thought his career was over, however, Nicholas being from the same background, cut a deal with Joey, they agreed to split the money they'd get from bringing the stolen car to the scrapyard if Nicholas didn't snitch. And as Joey soon found out, they made amazing partners in crime, Nicholas with his impeccable hot-wiring skills, sparked the engine into life. This was the beginning of a new era.
As Joseph grew older, he and Nicholas had been planning to set up a crew in the heart of Mezzogiorno, to courier drugs and firearms with the help of the infamous mafia members. However, with drug rings like this, there is competition, and with competition between different crews, there is always bloodshed. This hit home for the duo when the former leader of their drug ring, Anthony Indellicato, died with four head shot wounds as a result of a drive-by.
With the death of Indellicato, the money was being hurt, but that didn't stop Nicky or Joey from continuing to live like they always do. They both continued to make money on every move they made. The duo decided to work on a development to improve their cash flow and to do that, they had to control the narcotics and the weapon trade. There were lots of complications that had to be met to do so but they soon realized that there was a price on their heads after the killing of their boss and they had to leave as soon as possible.
After realizing they were being hunted, they only had one option, to say goodbye to everything they knew and loved in Italy and move out. The duo made preparations to leave the country, and re assemble the crew in San Fierro. They were ready to move to the USA but it was difficult due to to the immigration law and the introduction of the RICO act. They knew it would make it a lot harder to do business but they went for it anyways. They decided to go in legally to gather less heat and to do that, they had to lay low to successfully by-pass the immigration formalities and after about a month of cleaning their records and gathering supplies and connections, they did and settled in Fierro. Gathering the product to get them back on their feet wasn't hard, the duo had trusted friends in Italy who helped them set up connections across the country.
As the duo established in San Fierro, they started planning on making it big recruiting small time criminals and banding together a group, They touched down with an old friend, Vicenzo "Vinny" Santorini, who had returned from the army and he joined forces with the crew. They are known to do business secretly, keeping as much attention away from the law enforcement agencies as possible.
The crew work with street gangs and organized criminal groups, supplying them with weapons and narcotics, as well as providing hitmen. Langella also decided to bring in a couple of his old pals who were making a living in United States of America by hustling, this included a rookie called Adam Caracappa. Adam Caracappa and his partner Richard Laguardia decided to join forces with Langella and Cattaneo to form a stronger bond. Adam Caracappa, being a rookie - plans to bring some of his own gigs to play the game with the top dogs.
As Nicholas and Joseph settled into San Fierro, they took hold of a business, it's known to associates of the group as "Indellicato's Social". It's a known social hangout for the associates, as well as a legal front for the crew to launder money. From one end of San Fierro to the other, the group plans to open businesses and social Areas and hangouts all over the city, to waft away as much attention from their illegal activities as possible.
