I'm just going to throw a suggestion out there just to see what you all think. This has been on mind for a while now across any servers that I have been a part of.
What's my suggestion?
No matter what community you go to, you can always see public 'player reports' and 'ban appeals' but never do you see a place for recognition. What I mean by that is a place were you can go to and post publicly about how someone has helped you or has shown that they hold good values.
This could be anyone: a player or a member of staff. I think it creates a really positive environment when you're able to simply recognise someone for something they have done for you, and the player in receipt of the recognition would feel good too.
What would this look like?
A section in which players can post topics and recognise a fellow player or member of staff for anything that could warrant recognition. This could be for helping them out in game, for achieving something within the community, or for generally being a community ambassador.
A format to keep things uniformed could be used such as:

If staff please tag HoH (Aero), HoA (TBA) or HoD (Rehasher):

I'm new to the server and I found it quite difficult to get to grips with the commands and jobs. Conspiracy handled the majority of my help requests despite me being so lost. I believe he went above and beyond to ensure that my entrance to the server was as easy as possible.

As an idea, monthly or quarterly recognition awards can be given to those who have really made a difference to the community. I'm not saying that whoever would get recognised the most can be awarded for it, I'm talking about the content of the recognition: Who has really made a difference to those around them? What have we found out through the recognition's? What stories are being told on these topics?
Final words
I know that this isn't something that the server 'needs' however I do think that this would be a nice addition to ensure that those who deserve recognition get recognised for their efforts around the community. We're all so quick to post a report about a player or member of staff who has broke the rules, but never do we recognise each other in such a manner.
I'd like your honest opinions on this suggestion. I'm open to ideas in tweeking the concept but ultimately I am passionate of seeing the other side of things instead of only seeing the negatives being posted in the form of reports.
